Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado

  • 1 small cucumber

  • 4-6 slices of smoked salmon

  • 2 tablespoons salmon eggs

  • Fresh chives

  • Crème fraîche (or sour cream) 

  • Lemon juice (optional, for avocado)

Directions

  • Peel and dice the avocado. Place it in a small bowl and mash it with a fork. Add a squeeze of lemon juice (if desired) to prevent browning and enhance flavor.
  • Peel the cucumber and dice it into small cubes.
  • Take a small glass bowl or individual serving glasses and begin layering the ingredients.
  • Start by adding a layer of mashed avocado at the bottom of the glass. Then add a layer of diced cucumber on top of the avocado.
